The Center for the Environment and Welfare Announces Launch

New Think Tank to Educate Consumers, Companies, and Stakeholders on Sustainability and Animal Welfare

Washington, D.C. – Today, the Center for the Environment and Welfare (CEW) announced its official launch to help consumers, companies, and stakeholders navigate complex sustainability and animal welfare issues.

Areas of focus include animal agriculture, food production and supply chains, and the credibility of thought leaders in the space.

CEW also examines the animal activists spearheading radical and irresponsible ESG proposals and legislation, including national charities like the ASPCA and the Humane Society of the United. As part of its launch, CEW published a new report exposing the ASPCA.

The organization is led by executive director Jack Hubbard, who previously served as a top executive at the country’s first national humane organization:

“Radical advocacy groups are pressuring companies and policymakers to support initiatives that end up harming animals and the environment. Groups that disregard science and deceive donors don’t deserve a seat at the table. CEW was launched to help leaders navigate these complex issues.”

About the Center for Environment and Welfare

At a time when leaders are facing unprecedented pressure to adopt responsible environmental, social, and government (ESG) policies, it can be difficult for decision-makers and the public to separate good policy from bad. As a think tank, CEW leverages cutting-edge research to assess ESG proposals and recommend best practices that actually make a difference for animals and the planet.
